MRI G SCANN

Esaote’s creativity and commitment to innovation is encompassed in the G-scan, a revolutionary dedicated musculoskeletal MRI system.
The G-scan covers all applications: foot/ankle, knee, hip L&C spine, shoulder, elbow, hand/wrist. The magnet can be tilted from the horizontal to vertical position which enables the imaging of the patient in the weight bearing position, allowing you to visualize the actual condition of pathologies. The G-scan boasts advanced features and capabilities:
  • Low maintenance open permanent magnet with hydraulic tilting mechanism from 0° to 90°
  • 0.25 Tesla field
  • Limited dimensions: complete system, magnet, electronics and console can be installed in a single room of 25 m2
  • Low Power Consumption: less than 3 Kw in normal 220/110V power outlet
  • Ergonomic patient table
  • Light Patented RF Shielding
  • Complete set of dedicated optimized coils
  • All imaging sequences used in MSK settings
  • Weight-bearing examinations giving extra diagnostic capability
  • Full set of pre-defined sequences and protocols
  • User defined sequences and customized examination protocols
  • Multi planar scout
  • Real time imaging tool for patient positioning
  • Windows based user interface
  • Extensive image viewing, analysis and elaboration tools
  • Sophisticated storage functionality particularly useful for systems connected to PACS network
  • Full DICOM connectivity

Siting :
  • Single room installation
  • Installation surface: 25 m2
  • Height of the room:
    • minimal 2.7 m for weight bearing exam of spine and knee
    • suggested 3.20 m for weight bearing exam of spine, knee and ankle
  • Total weight: 7.9 tons
  • Power line 5 KW
  • No Cryogens
  • Dedicated shielding case by Esaote

Connectivity :
Connection to the hospital network is easy as G-scan comes complete with network hardware and software. By using DICOM® standard, images can be sent to other modalities like PACS system and printers. The "Autosend" (also called "Autopush") function will automatically send all images to the destination of choice without the need of operator interaction.
Modality Worklist: G-scan can receive patients lists of the day directly from HIS/RIS, for optimized integration within a hospital network.

Economics :
The common denominator of Esaote MRI systems is their cost-effectiveness because they offer optimized performance at a much more competitive cost than standard whole body MRI systems.

The low break even point of G-scan is fully in line with the economical constraints of today's healthcare environment and make G-scan therefore an optimal investment also for the private clinic.
